Colour Challenge #20

It's that time of week already..... Another WONDERFUL Kristina Colour Challenge!!!!!

Here is this weeks GORGEOUS challenge:-

Ooohhh.... aren't those colours just AMAZING!!!!...Well maybe I'm a tad biased, but any combo with pink and chocolate is a winner in my book!!!!

Anyway... here is my card for this week:-

After a bit of fluffing around, trying to figure out what I was going to do, and how I was going to use these beautiful colours, I decided to go with a base of Chocolate Chip and layer it with some Pretty in Pink and a strip of Certainly Celery DSP... I've popped these both up on dimensionals. Then I did some 'Dry Embossing' with some Pretty In Pink circle and added another layer (on dimensionals) of Regal Rose and Very Vanilla Cardstock of course adding a splash of the beautiful Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain. My flower is from the Bodacious Bouquet Stamp set and is stamped in Regal Rose and the leaves in Certainly Celery, I've just attached the centre flower using a brad and again popped it up on a dimensional before attaching.
The sentiment 'You Make Me Happy' is from the EXTREMELY versatile, hostess set 'So Many Sayings' and I've used Chocolate Chip Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, which I've then layered on some Chocolate Chip.

So, there you have it, another amazing challenge set by Kristina.... I hope you like it!!!

Here are all the tools:-

Stamps:- Bodacious Bouquet, So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess Set)
Card:- Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Cetainly Celery DSP
Ink:- Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery
Accessories:- Brad, Dimensionals, Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain, Circle punches.

Colour Challenge #19

Here is another Colour Challenge from Kristina Werner. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play with the last couple, and then Kristina was unable to play because she had injured her back, BUT we are ALL back on board now.... PHEW!!!!

Here is the challenge this week:-

The colours this week were Basic Black, Basic Grey, Whisper White and a colour of choice... I've decided to go with River Rock.

And here is my card:-

Oki... I've used Whisper White as the base of the card and then layered it with Basic Black, which I've stamped in Veramark Ink with the 'Circles' from my Boho Backgrounds Stamp set. Unfortunately you can't see it in the photo.... might need to get some clear embossing powder for next time!!! The top layer is made with Basic Grey Textured Cardstock which I've Faux Stitched using my Gel Pen. The word 'love is made with my Big Deal Alphabet in Basic Black and the 'o' I've made using the my 'Boho Background' set (AGAIN!!!) geees.... you've gotta love this set!!!! I've punched out the flower in the centre and cut it out and then popped it up on a dimensional.

All that and not an ounce of PINK!!!!

So here are all the tools:-

Stamps:- Boho Backgrounds, Big Deal Alphabet
Paper:- Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Grey Textured
Ink:- Versamark, Basic Black, River Rock
Accessories:- Dimensionals, Circle Punch, Piercing Mat/Needle.

LOVE!!!! Scrapbook Layout!!!!

Here is a Scrapbook Layout I made as a Challenge for the Demo's online group. It was set by the very talented Makessha, and considering I don't often make Scrapbook pages, it was indeed a challenge for me..... BUT!!!! I REALLY did enjoy making it.

I used a photo I'd taken of my gorgeous little Jorja on Sunday at Daniel's Birthday Party in the park. The minute I saw the Challenge, I knew exactly this was the photo for the job. Firstly here is the Challenge Layout for you to see:-

And here is my creation:-

It's EXTREMELY hard to get a good photo of Miss Jorja at the moment, she is either too busy running around or too busy trying to get to the other side of the camera to see what photo I've taken, so I was quite proud of ME for actually getting TWO photos of her, one on the slide as she got to the bottom and one walking with Daddy... which she wouldn't actually known I was taking... but I'm still going to pretend I was clever!!! hahaha. Anyway... those who know the beautiful Jorja will also know that at the moment, we can't go anywhere without her most FAVOURITE hat... she wears it everywhere... from around the house, in the car, shopping even to bed... yes BED!!!! so I used the colours of her hat as the inspiration for the colours on the page.
Here is a shot of the page with her HAT!!!! (well I couldn't leave it out...)

I've used River Rock Textured Cardstock for the base and used Pretty in Pink as the first border, which I've done some Faux Stitching using my Piercing Mat and Needle. Then the square is Rose Red and you probably wont be able to see it in the photo but I've used the 'Flower' stamp from my Boho Background Stampset to decorate it. The circle is made with Pretty in Pink and again I've used my Boho Background set, this time the 'Circles' to decorate.
The flowers are from my Bodacious Bouquet Set and I've created the two on the left using the 'Rock and Roll' Technique using Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Ink and a Rose Red flower and Pretty in Pink Brad for the centre, the swirl is made with River Rock Ink (stamp from Bodacious Bouquet. The flower on the right is stamped in Rose Red with a Pretty in Pink and silver brad for the centre.
The title is made using my 'Big Deal Alphabet' stamp set and has been stamped in Pretty in Pink and River Rock, I've just added a Rose Red Flower and Pretty in Pink brad to highlight the 'O'. I've written my journaling on Pretty in Pink cardstock strips, which I've 'Faux Stitched'.

Sooooo.... I hope you like my little creation.

Here are all the tools:-

Stamps:- Bodacious Bouquet, Boho Backgrounds, Big Deal Alphabet
Card:- River Rock Textured 12x12 Cardstock, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink:- Pretty in Pink, River Rock, Rose Red
Accessories:- Soft Subtle Brads (Pretty in Pink), Silver Brads, Piercing Mat/Needle, Dimensionals, Paper Snips, White Gel Pen.

Tart and Tangy!!!

I've been a busy little (mmm OK... Big) person this week, and have sat down and made the box and cards we'll be making at my upcoming 'Tart and Tangy' Night. Oh and lets not forget that I took the photos too... now if you can imagine me outside, 8month pregnant belly, kneeling on the decking trying to get a good photo!!!!... you will truly appreciate my efforts and of course I'm sure get a nice little giggle out of it, while you're trying to visualise all that!!!! hahaha.

Anyway, I've made four cards and the gift box and they are REALLY simple to do. So here they all are:-
First up.... the gorgeous little box that all of the cards we make will fit nicely into. I've use Old Olive cardstock as the base of the box and then layered Bashful Blue and pieces of Summer Picnic DSP onto the top. I've also used Red Wide Grosgrain and the Cherry Stamp from 'Tart and Tangy' cut it out with my circle punches and layered it onto a circle of Old Olive and a Red Scallop.

Now for the cards:-
First up.... this one is made with the Apple stamp and the Apple Print paper from Summer Picnic. I've used some Old Olive Wide Grosgrain and layered the apple image onto an Old Olive circle. The base of the card is Whisper white and there is also another layer of Real Red. The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess Set 'So Many Sayings' and it says Thanks SO Much.

Next card:-
STRAWBERRY!!!! mmmm.... this one again has a base of Whisper White (actually they all do). Here I've used a piece of the Flowers and Bashful Blue Print from Summer Picnic DSP with a strip of Real Red and then a piece of Real Red Wide Grosgrain to finish it off. The Strawberry stamp is layered on a circle of Real Red and an Old Olive Scallop. Again the sentiment (hugs & kisses) is from the Level 1 Hostess set 'So Many Sayings'.... Interested in this Hostess set YET.... well why not book a workshop and it could be yours.

Card No. 3 is.....
CHERRIES!!!!.... This one is done by layering Real Red, Bashful Blue, Old Olive and a piece of the Cherry paper from Summer Picnic. Add a knotted piece of Real Red Wide Grosgrain and the Cherry stamp layered on an Old Olive cirlce and Real Red Scallop, it's done. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from 'It's your Birthday.

And last but not least..... Card No. 4:-
ORANGES!!!!! This card I've made by using a layer of Old Olive, some Whisper White and the Stripes from Summer Picnic, then finished it off with the Orange stamp layered on a Bashful Blue circle and Groovy Guava Scallop, then a piece of Groovy Guava Double stitched Ribbon to finish it. The sentiment again is from 'It's your Birthday'.

Oh and we must have a GROUP SHOT.... so here they all are together!!!!

Ok.... so I had to cheat here and remove myself and my BUMP from the ground and relocate to higher ground and use the Barbie!!!!! Sorry Girls, but I didn't think I could handle another photo on the ground.... well my BUMP couldn't anyway... hahahah.

Now I MUST thank the lovely Rebecca Ross who shared her ideas for this Tart and Tangy class with me.... THANKYOU Rebecca!!!!! I've just adapted a few of the cards.

Sooooo.... there you have it your official SNEAK PEEK at what you'll get to make. Let me know if you are interested in coming... but be quick... you don't want to miss out. I can't wait to get us all together again to do this set.... It really is a cute little stamp set and the Summer Picnic Designer Paper is GORGEOUS.

I'll have more pics soon.... I must get started on some Chrissy ones now!!!! For another Sneak Peek!!!!

Here is everything I used:-

Stamps:- Tart and Tangy (Spring Mini), So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess Set), It's your Birthday.
Paper:- Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP
Ink:- Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Groovy Guava
Accessories:- Real Red Wide Grosgrain, Old Olive Wide Grosgrain, Groovy Guava Double Stitched Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Circle Punches, Dimensionals.

Happy Birthday Daniel!

Yesterday was the party of our nephew Daniel. And quite a special party, because he will be turning ONE this week. We all gathered at a park to help him celebrate and here is a pic of the card I made for him. Happy Birthday little man, and we all hope you had a WONDERFUL day!!!!

I used my 'Wild About You' stamp set for this one. The card base is Confetti White and the images are all stuck on with Dimensionals just to lift them off the page a tad. The ear on the elephant I created by stamping the image twice to get the lighter colour and then just cut out the extra ear and attached it with a dimensional. The grass at the bottom was done using a strip of Old Olive cardstock and my paper snips, then stuck down and I added a strip of grosgrain just to finish it off. The sentiment is from the 'It's Your Birthday' stamp set and I've then used my scallop punch and then reinserted it to get the extra detail. I'll list all of the tools below for you.

Hope you like.

Stamp Set:- Wild About You, It's your Birthday
Card:- Confetti White, Old Olive
Ink:- Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Summer Sun, Soft Sky.
Accessories:- Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Mellow Moss Grosgrain, Scallop Punch

A New Baby!!!

No.... not mine YET!!!! For those of you who just held your breath momentarily.... still got a couple of months to wait. hahaha

Our next door neighbours just welcomed a little baby boy into the world so I thought I'd make a little card to give to them and here it is.

This card is the same sort of layout I used for one of Kristina's colour challenges in this post except I've changed the colours. I started with Very Vanilla as the base and then used Blue Bayou and River Rock for the larger layers. The River Rock piece I've stamped with a stamp from the Boho Backgrounds Stamp set and then tied some Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon around it before sticking it to the card base. The Giraffe and Bird are of course from my FAVE 'Wild About You' and stamped in Soft Sky and Blue Bayou and layered on Soft Sky and Blue Bayou Cardstock. The words are from the hostess set 'So Many Sayings' and I've just cut it into small sections and mounted them onto the same layers as the Giraffe.

This is such a simple but effective layout and you just can't beat the Wild About You set to make some baby cards.... well I can't anyway.... If not the Giraffe then the Elephant... mmm... maybe I should try this card out with the elephant now.... might just do that!!

Hope you like.

Here's a list of everything I used:-

Stamps:- Wild About You, Boho Backgrounds, So Many Sayings
Card:- Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, River Rock
Ink:- Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, River Rock
Accessories:- Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon.
